Putting Sustainability and Quality First

Rotational grazing is a practice that helps maintain healthy soil by promoting the relationship between plants and animals. This method involves moving livestock through different areas of a pasture, allowing the land to rest and recover while also providing opportunities for the animals to graze on fresh, nutrient-rich grass. As the animals move from one area to another, they naturally fertilize the soil with their waste, which helps to improve soil fertility and overall health. In turn, the healthier soil supports the growth of diverse plant life, creating a balanced ecosystem that benefits both the animals and the environment. By incorporating rotational grazing into agricultural practices, we can work towards maintaining sustainable and thriving ecosystems while also providing nutritious food for the animals.

Regenerative Walnut Farming

The use of regenerative practices in walnut farming has resulted in an increase in nutrient density and overall higher quality of the crop. By implementing no-till farming techniques, we have been able to minimize the impact on the soil, preserving its health and fertility for future generations.

Everyday, the goats are moved to a new area to help control ground cover and improve soil health. This rotational grazing system not only prevents overgrazing in one specific area but also allows the goats to disperse their manure evenly, which in turn enriches the soil with nutrients.
